Spamalot
October 31 - November 26, 2006

Winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, Monty Python's Spamalot is the outrageous new musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the film classic "Monty Python and The Holy Grail." Directed by Tony Award-winner Mike Nichols, with a book by Eric Idle and music and lyrics by the Grammy Award-winning team of Mr. Idle and John Du Prez, Spamalot tells the tale of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on their quest for the Holy Grail. Flying cows, killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen and show-stopping musical numbers are just a few of the reasons audiences everywhere are eating up Spamalot.

The Light in the Piazza
January 30 - February 11, 2007

Direct from Broadway and the winner of 6 Tony Awards including Best Score, The Light in the Piazza is the romantic new musical that brings together the talents of Adam Guettel and Craig Lucas in an adaptation of Elizabeth Spencer's novella, directed by Bartlett Sher. This lush, dreamy musical finds Margaret Johnson on vacation in the Tuscan countryside with her daughter, Clara, and Clara's unexpected encounter with a handsome Florentine named Fabrizio. Be swept away to Italy where true love and marriage abound in this contemporary, witty and elegant production. The Light in the Piazza is "the most romantic score of any Broadway musical since West Side Story." – The New York Times

Edward Scissorhands
February 27 - March 11, 2007

Direct from London prior to New York Debut!

Matthew Bourne and New Adventures (Swan Lake) are back with a magical new adaptation of the classic Tim Burton motion picture Edward Scissorhands. A treat for the whole family, this touching and witty gothic fairytale tells the story of a boy created by an eccentric inventor. With only scissors for hands, Edward must find his place in a strange new suburban world where the well-meaning community struggles to see past his appearance to the innocence and gentleness within. This musical without words is a must-see event you won't want to miss! "Just bring your ears and eyes and marvel at the inventions of Mr. Bourne's theatrical imagination" - New York Times.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
March 27 - April 8, 2007

Based on the popular 1988 MGM film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels centers on two con men living on the French Riviera – the suave and sophisticated Lawrence Jameson, who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money; and a small-time crook named Freddy Benson, who, more humbly, swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health. After meeting on a train, they unsuccessfully attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn't big enough for the two of them. So they make a bet: the first one to swindle $50,000 from a young heiress, triumphs and the other must leave town. What follows are a series of schemes, masquerades and double-crosses in which nothing may ever be exactly what it seems.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
May 8 - 20, 2007

In the Tony-Award winning new musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. Spelling Bee has been hailed by the Wall Street Journal as "perfect in every possible way – that rarity of rarities, a super-smart musical that is also a bona fide crowd pleaser." This tuneful, offbeat and at times heartwarming show offers audience members the opportunity (strictly voluntary) to become part of the action as on-stage spellers. The New York Times calls Spelling Bee "irresistible, riotously funny and remarkably ingenious – gold stars all around."

Disney's The Lion King
June 21 - July 29, 2007

One of St. Louis' best-loved musicals makes its triumphant return to the Fox Theatre! Marvel at the breathtaking spectacle of animals brought to life by award-winning director Julie Taymor, whose visual images audiences will remember forever. Thrill to the rhythms of the African Pridelands and an unforgettable score including Elton John and Tim Rice's Oscar-winning songs "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Circle of Life." Let your imagination run wild at the Tony Award-winning Broadway sensation Newsweek calls "a landmark event in entertainment."
