'1001
Active Lifestyle Communities': New book helps readers identify
Active Adult CommunitiesHENDERSON, Nev., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/
-- Lisa LaCount presents a new directory to aid readers who are
interested in finding a home within an age-restricted or active
lifestyle community in her new book, "1001 Active Lifestyle
Communities.
In 2001, the baby boomer
generation began to turn 55, the official age that seniors
are welcomed into most age-restricted communities. As a
result, home builders have responded to this large market by
"building for boomers," says LaCount. "According to the Associated Press, the
latest trend by home builders is to design comfortable homes where
the active boomer generation will be satisfied to reside now, and
for the rest of their lives," she says.
This market segment is relatively
new, and previously there was no single resource for people to find
information about these communities. To answer this demand, LaCount
founded the online National Directory of Active Adult Communities.
However, the author felt that
something was needed in
addition to the Web site. "Even though the
percentage of boomers becoming Web savvy has increased radically
since its inception, there still remain those who want to physically
hold a book, turn the pages and make notes," she says. "And that's
where '1001 Active Lifestyle Communities' will be your friendly
tool!"
In her book, LaCount provides the
tools necessary to thoroughly research more than 1,000 active
lifestyle communities in 45 states. She includes detailed
information on each community to help readers make educated
decisions based on area, price range, type of home and amenities, as
well as providing contact information for taking the next step.
"[I
am] providing you, the researcher, with all the tools necessary to
find your dream destination -- perhaps for the rest of your life!"
says LaCount.
