non-profit organization protecting the legal
rights of older Pennsylvanians, this week
kicked off its May Month of Service in
celebration of National Older Americans
Month.
Service projects are taking place throughout
the month in the Philadelphia area and
beyond, and serve a particular population,
community, or critical legal issue.
"As thousands of our elderly clients strive
to survive our country's economic crisis on
low fixed incomes, this year we are devoting
all of our time, energy, and resources to
bringing services directly to seniors who
need them now more than ever before," said
Karen Buck, Esq., Executive Director,

On May 14th, the Latino Elders Health Care
Planning will bring volunteer attorneys and
interpreters to serve Latino elders in their
own language and communities in North
Philadelphia.
The Protect Your Independence project
educating seniors on advance planning will
take place at Journey's Way in Roxborough on
