An important letter
from Daniel Hines
to our
readers and our sponsors:
Thanks
Every web site publisher likes to talk
about the volume of traffic to his web site. It's also important to
let visitors know that the site they are visiting has the endorsement of
peers, in our case, seniors, and, of course, to let sponsors know that
their investment is being spent wisely.
Since our startup, we have relied on a
particular tracking service. It was a good indicator of some basic
information, but lacked the sophistication of more advanced services.
Now that has changed, thanks to our
continuing relationship with Southwestern Bell Web Hosting Services, which
has upgraded to include a state-of-the-art tracking service that ensures
that the most complete and accurate records are available.
Wow, were we surprised when the first
results started coming in...the server-based tracker was able to more
accurately track just how many seniors and others really are visiting
us. The number was immensely higher.
As a result, for 2009, we are now
projecting nearly three million visitors. We enjoy excellent
rankings in all the major search engines (No. 1 in Google for today's
seniors, America's Seniors, Senior Relationships, and many 'first page'
rankings for the hundreds of valuable stories we publish about aging in
America).
While we are delighted with these
numbers, we also recognize that this is only a beginning. Our growth
in the past 12 months holds the promise of even more visitors, views and
hits for the site.
But this will happen only if we
continually commit ourselves to providing a broad base of information,
complete with a mix of stories on the national, state and regional
scene. We also will expand our number of originally written
materials, with features that you will find only on America's Seniors at
TodaysSeniorsNetwork.com.
We are grateful for the many people who
have become regular visitors. We are also grateful to those who became
sponsors when we were only starting. Now, as we face a new era of
growth and information, we are determined that the future shall exceed the
past in quality, service and information. Readers and potential sponsors may find out more about
our traffic by e-mailing me

Sincerely,
Daniel Hines
