 Window stickers honor veterans

Men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces can now display their service history with VetSignia window stickers.

A small group of retired veterans designed and made 33 special  window stickers that show military service and conflicts.

The unique stickers are 2 inches by 4 inches, black on shiny silver, with a stars-and-stripes background. Stickers are available for World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, overseas expeditionary campaigns, and peacetime; and for the services of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines.

Veterans who served in the past four major wars can display the war served in and their branch of service.

Stickers for those who served in overseas expeditionary campaigns such as Panama, Somalia, Bosnia, etc., show branch of service and expeditionary.

Veterans who served in peacetime can get stickers that show their status as a veteran and their branch of service.

VetSignias show combinations such as Vet/WWII/U.S. Navy, Vet/Korea/U.S. Army, Vet/Vietnam/U.S. Air Force, Vet/Expeditionary/U.S. Marines, Vet/U.S. Army, and more.

Black and white images of the shiny silver stickers can be viewed on the Internet at www.vetsignia.org or at www.wilsoncountynews.com and clicking on “America’s Heroes.”

The stickers are $4 each or 3 for $10 (shipping and handling included). Send requests to Bob Kline, Box 382, Blue Bell, PA 19422. Include your branch of service and war served, expeditionary, or peacetime.

For more information, call 610-277-1171 or e-mail bobk.ww2usmc@vetsignia.org
