Tips
for senior travelers on taking memorable travel pictures, not
just snapshots
August
2005 (Newstream) -- Summer travel season is in full swing - and the
best way to remember a vacation is through photographs. But there’s
a big difference between taking pictures and taking good photos. You
don’t need an expensive camera to take great vacation shots, just a
better idea of how to take them.
Milton
Fullman is a professional travel photographer and President of the
Society of American Travel Writers. He recommends the following tips
when taking vacation photos:
Shoot
in the morning or late afternoon. During those times, daylight is
softer and more pleasing. In the middle of the day, the light is
harsher and shadows in your photos will be deeper.
Use
your photos to tell a story. Use the first shot to set the scene,
then use the following shots to get different reactions.
Get creative. Anyone can take a
straight-on shot. Look for new and different angles that offer a
more appealing perspective.
